A.I.Matics has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Japan’s Keiyo Engineering to provide AI-based vehicle fleet management services (FMS). This partnership, announced by A.I.Matics CEO Hoon Lee, was formalized at A.I.Matics’ headquarters in Seoul and marks a strategic entry into the Japanese market.
A subsidiary of Dreamtech, A.I.Matics specializes in AI-driven vehicle video surveillance technology with proprietary on-device AI and MLOps technology, currently active in markets including the U.S., Australia, and Israel. Through this MOU, A.I.Matics will expand its AI-driven vehicle monitoring platform to Japan, addressing the country’s relatively low digitization in vehicle management.
Keiyo Engineering, headquartered in Tokyo, is a long-standing aftermarket vehicle solution provider with clients like Panasonic, Mazda Parts, and Mercedes-Benz Japan. By integrating A.I.Matics’ safety driving platform, Keiyo Engineering aims to advance digital fleet management in Japan, where manual log-keeping remains prevalent.
A.I.Matics’ core products for Japan include the “Roadscope” AI camera series and the “AID” safety driving platform, which utilizes data from five-channel cameras inside and outside vehicles. These systems offer real-time driver alerts and monitoring capabilities for managers. Initially, they will supply products valued at approximately $380,000 for trucks under 2.5 tons and above 5 tons, with a target of over $1.5 million in 2025.
A.I.Matics CEO Hoon Lee highlighted Japan’s attractive fleet management market, valued at an estimated $1.8 billion and projected to grow over 10% annually through 2032. Lee expressed plans to further strengthen A.I.Matics’ global presence through continued partnerships.
